How your bespoke wedding rings are made
From the initial consultation to delivery, every step is designed to help you visualise your rings, ensure they are comfortable to wear and make them true to what they represent.
1. First meeting and direction
Let's start with your style, your daily habits, the wedding rings you envision, and what you want to avoid. There's no need to come with a pre-defined project: the first discussion is to identify the most suitable direction.
2. Hand, proportions, and comfort
I assess the width, thickness, inner profile, weight and feel on the hand, so that each wedding ring is balanced, comfortable and suitable for everyday wear.
3. Metal, finish and details
The metal, colour, finish and details are chosen by considering aesthetics, everyday wear, maintenance and consistency with the overall design.
4. Defining the design
When the direction is clear, we define the proportions, lines, engravings, textures and any symbols. When useful, I use 3D design and physical prototypes to assess the result before the rings are crafted, especially for remote clients.
5. Crafting and delivery
I personally create and inspect the wedding rings at every stage. Upon delivery, I will explain the work carried out and how to care for your wedding rings properly over time.

You can focus entirely on the bespoke design of your wedding rings or, if you wish, also experience part of their creation in my workshop. The bespoke process includes consultation, the study of shape, proportions, comfort, materials and finishes, followed by the craftsmanship of the rings. Goldsmith for a Day is a separate and optional experience in which you take part in selected stages of the work, guided step by step.
To dedicate the necessary time to each couple, I reserve a limited number of dates each year for this experience.

How long before the wedding should we start the project?
It is best to have the first consultation well in advance. The project should begin at least a few months before the wedding, allowing enough time to design the wedding rings carefully, consider every detail and make any necessary adjustments before they are made.
Do our wedding rings have to be identical?
No. Some couples choose identical wedding rings, others prefer different proportions, finishes or details. What matters is that each ring reflects the person wearing it and the meaning the couple wishes to express.
Can we personalise engravings, textures, or symbols?
Yes. Every project can include engravings, textures, symbols or carefully considered details, provided they remain coherent with the design and legible over time.
Can we use family gold or inherited jewellery?
In some cases, yes. During the initial meeting, I assess whether the available material is suitable for the new project or whether it would be better valued as part of an exchange.
Can we participate in the creation of the wedding rings?
Yes. Those who wish can add the Goldsmiths for a Day experience to the process and take part in creating their wedding rings in the atelier, guided step by step.
Is it possible to design wedding rings even if we don’t live in Altamura?
Yes. I also work with couples living in other cities or abroad through remote consultations and a design process tailored to each couple's needs.
How long does the first meeting last?
Generally, around thirty minutes. This time is dedicated to listening to your ideas, exploring the design possibilities and answering your questions, with no obligation to proceed and in complete confidence.
