Handcrafted rose gold wedding rings with personalised engraved fingerprints, made to measure by Antonio Colonna

Torsion fingerprints

18-carat rose gold wedding bands where shape, proportions and fingerprints become part of the same design

The creation

Custom rose gold wedding rings transform the couple's original fingerprints into a tangible presence on the metal surface. The uneven profile and surface variations catch the light, while proportions, heights and thicknesses were verified through prototypes before final production. The project was also experienced through Goldsmiths for a day experience, closely following the stages that lead from the idea to the pair of wedding rings.

How would you like to be recognised within your faiths?

A commission capable of showing how a personal touch can guide a new project built on the hands and identity of the couple.

The initial meeting is used to focus on the shape, proportions, material and meaning of your project.

Bespoke wedding rings

These wedding rings belong to my archive and document a journey already completed. A new project starts by listening and is redesigned around the people who will wear them, taking into account hands, proportions, material, daily use and the type of customisation desired. In my atelier in Altamura I personally oversee this stage, from initial inspiration to a solution that is coherent with the new couple.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project was born from images chosen by clients in my gallery of wedding rings, used as a starting point to search for a more personal form. From that reference we developed a structure of our own and integrated their original fingerprints into the metal. The concept entrusted to the design turns the idea of the author on its head: the print belongs to those who, through marriage, start a new family unit and a new path in life together.

Materials and finishes

I developed these 18-carat rose gold wedding rings through 3D modelling and prototyping, allowing the couple to evaluate their proportions, heights and overall thicknesses before final production. The original fingerprints were integrated into the model and transferred to the metal using lost-wax casting. Polishing and quality control completed the work, with a focus on surface continuity and the legibility of the traces.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

We can start with your hands, a shape that represents you, or a personal detail to design wedding rings that are in harmony with your proportions and the way you want to wear them every day.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
