The initial meeting is about understanding what really matters to you and translating it into proportion, material and form.
In these wedding rings the sea is not a landscape to be represented, but a presence transformed into movement. The waves run through the metal like forces that approach, support each other and continue beyond the point that the eye can follow. This is the image entrusted to me by the couple: a love sustained by waves and by sea-related experiences that remain theirs. I have guarded that private part by letting the form, rather than an explanation, bear its trace.
The sea belongs to my archive of completed creations and tells the story of choices developed alongside a specific couple. Every new wedding ring project is born anew from listening and is redesigned taking into account people, proportions, material, daily wear and meaning.
The inspiration stems from the sea and the waves which, in the meaning entrusted to me by the couple, were able to sustain their mutual love. There are personal stories connected to this element, but they were not recounted to me in detail and I choose to leave them in their private space. In the design, therefore, I worked on what could become form: movement, continuity, energy and a flow capable of crossing both wedding rings without turning into literal decoration.
I developed the 18-carat rose gold wedding rings through 3D modelling and prototyping, tools that allowed the couple to view and try on the structure before final production. Together, we were able to define the heights, overall thicknesses, proportions and micro-details of the undulating design. Lost-wax casting transferred the design into the metal; polishing and quality control completed the work, highlighting the continuity of the reliefs.
Every review reflects a real commission: the initial consultation, the listening process, the definition of the project, the anticipation and the moment the finished piece becomes part of the client’s life.
