Gnosi tells of a path in which knowing means going through transformations, doubts, listening and awareness. The wind becomes a metaphor for a movement that changes direction, while the soul accompanies the discovery of the self and of the other. In this journey, creation also takes on an inner meaning: two people give shape to a new family nucleus and a shared life project. With Goldsmiths for a Day, Mariateresa and Eusebio chose to personally take part in the very act of creation
Gnosis belongs to my archive of creations and preserves the precise relationship between the The story of Mariateresa and Eusebio, their journey and the shape developed for them. Each new pair of wedding rings is redesigned starting from the individuals, the proportions of their hands, the chosen materials, everyday use and the meaning to be treasured.
The inspiration for Gnosi stems from the long journey of inner and spiritual discovery experienced by Mariateresa and Eusebio. During this inspirational process, images, memories and meanings emerged that guided the project towards the wind and the soul, understood as presences capable of accompanying the body, the personality and the shared path. From this research, a form was born that speaks of transformation, awareness and relationship.
I developed Gnosi in 18-carat yellow gold through 3D modelling and prototyping, in order to check proportions, heights and thicknesses with the couple before final production. The technical process involved lost-wax casting, hand-engraving, polishing and quality control. Digital design allowed me to manage the alternation between reliefs and depths while maintaining visual continuity and attention to wearability.
Every review reflects a real commission: the initial consultation, the listening process, the definition of the project, the anticipation and the moment the finished piece becomes part of the client’s life.
