This white gold ring with emerald focus the composition on an octagonal gemstone, surrounded by natural diamonds. The central geometry remains sharp, while the luminous halo follows its perimeter without blurring its colour. The shank, understated and continuous, leads towards a more articulated upper section. On the hand the ring appears balanced, present and legible, with a measured relationship between gemstone, light and structure.

The initial consultation is used to evaluate the gemstone, structure, proportions and technical solutions consistent with the intended use.
Saggezza belongs to my archive of completed creations and documents a design method. A new ring is redesigned in relation to the chosen gemstone, hand size, proportions, metal, intended use and desired character. In my workshop in Altamura I directly oversee every check, ensuring that solidity, comfort and visual presence find a personal balance.
The project stems from the observation of traditional basket-style rings, chosen by the client as an initial reference but deemed too delicate in their construction. I therefore developed a stolid and more proportioned structure, working particularly on the relationship between the claws, the basket and the shank. The selection of the emerald's colour guided the entire design, custom-made for the gemstone and verified before final production.
I developed Wisdom in 18-carat white gold with a natural octagonal emerald and natural diamonds. 3D modelling and prototyping made it possible to control the height, thicknesses, load distribution and the ratio between the basket and the shank prior to lost-wax casting. Prong setting, polishing and quality control complete a construction designed for protection, precision and continuity in use.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
A carefully selected stone can guide the entire project. In my studio in Altamura we can develop a new ring by studying together colour, proportions, setting, comfort and feasibility.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
