It is an engagement ring with Aquamarine in 18-carat white gold and diamonds natural, built around the luminous presence of the central gemstone. The shank develops multiple lines that flank the composition, whilst the diamonds enhance the passage of light towards the centre. On the hand, the aquamarine takes on a dominant role, balanced by the bright and intricate structure of the metal.

The first meeting serves to understand which elements of the story deserve to take shape and which must remain more intimate.
A promise can become so bound to a place that it makes it part of one's memory. For Promessa, that place is the nature traversed during a hike, amid waterfalls and lakes, the chosen setting to make their engagement official. The aquamarine occupies the centre of the piece as a luminous presence linked to that water-scaped setting, while white gold and diamonds build a frame of light around it. The narrative remains within the jewel without becoming literal.
This ring belongs to my archive of created pieces and documents a journey born from the encounter between a story, a gemstone and a concrete verification of proportions. A new ring is not simply repeated starting from this shape: it is redesigned according to the person, the hand, the materials, the intended use and the meaning to be preserved.
The Promessa ring is born from the memory of a hike among waterfalls and lakes, chosen as the setting for a promise of love and the moment of engagement. From this episode, I developed a direction in which the aquamarine becomes the visual centre of the design, naturally evoking the water environment described in the story. I did not seek to reproduce a landscape, but rather to preserve within the piece of jewellery the relationship between place, light and meaning.
I worked with 18-carat white gold, aquamarine and natural diamonds, developing the project through 3D modelling, prototyping and lost-wax casting. Pavé setting, bright-cut setting, polishing and surface treatment complete the piece. The prototype allowed the client to check proportions, heights and thicknesses on the hand before final production.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
A memory, a landscape or a shared moment can become the origin of a new project, developed through listening, material and verification of proportions.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
