The Universo wedding rings are crafted in 18-carat white gold with a fluid, irregular and enveloping structure. Solids and voids alternate along the circumference, while the sapphire introduces a point of light and colour that draws the gaze without interrupting the movement of the band. Through the prototypes, I checked proportions, heights and thicknesses with the couple, seeking a balance between expressive strength and everyday wearability.

The initial consultation can also take place via video call and serves to understand which meanings to translate into material, colour and proportions.
In Universo, the shape embodies the idea of two individualities finding continuity within the same whole. The movement of the band wraps back onto itself, whilst the blue sapphire concentrates the meanings chosen for the design: loyalty, clarity and serenity. The narrative does not stem from a symbol added at the end: structure, colour and stone work together to translate the idea of a bond capable of remaining united without erasing difference into physical form.
Universo belongs to my archive of completed creations and holds a journey born from precise narrative research. Every new project is redesigned around people, hand proportions, materials, daily use and the meaning to be transformed into matter.
The inspiration stems from the narrative research developed around the idea of the universe as a unity that gathers and envelops, together with blue as a colour of depth, reflection and serenity. Sapphire thus becomes an element consistent with this symbolic direction. Consultations with the couple, which also began via video call, made it possible to transform abstract concepts into a concrete form, which was then verified through prototypes.
For Universo, I worked in 18-carat white gold with a blue sapphire, following 3D modelling, prototyping, lost-wax casting, bar setting, polishing and quality control. Digital modelling allowed me to control the organic flow of the band; subsequently, the prototypes made it possible to actually verify the volumes and proportions. The stone was integrated as the focal point of the design, without separating it from the structure.
Discover what it means to create your wedding rings together
Come into the workshop and discover a different way of experiencing the creation of your wedding rings.
You will be involved in the most significant phases of the process, accompanied step by step throughout the experience.
At the end of the day, you will take away not only the wedding rings, but also the memory of having made them together with your own hands.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
If a symbol, colour or image truly belongs to your story, we can start from there to design narrative wedding bands. In my Altamura studio, I personally oversee the transition from meaning to form, checking proportions, materials and how they look on the hand together.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
