Detail of the Bacio d’amore 18-carat yellow gold wedding rings with a texture inspired by a lip print

Love kiss

18-carat yellow gold wedding bands where an intimate gesture becomes a sign, a surface and a memory

The creation

The yellow gold Bacio d’amore narrative wedding rings transform an intimate trace into a tangible presence. The bands maintain an essential profile, while along the surface a relief texture takes shape, born from the imprint of lips, which modifies the light in a subtle way. I sought a balance between structure, detail and comfort, so that the mark remains legible on the hand without weighing down the overall design.

Shape your story

From this story a new wedding ring project can be born, redesigned around your symbol and the way you wish to cherish it.

The initial consultation can also take place via video call and serves to clarify the symbol, proportions, workmanship and direction of the project.

Narrative wedding rings

In Bacio d’amore the gesture of the kiss becomes matter and is entrusted to the bands as a discreet yet present trace. The imprint of the lips, transformed into a relief, recalls the moment when the rings are brought close to the face before the giving and the exchange, almost as if to entrust a shared breath to the metal. The narrative does not describe an abstract symbol: it preserves a real, simple and intensely human gesture.

Bacio d’amore belongs to my archive of completed creations and documents a journey born from a specific couple. Each new project is redesigned around the individuals, the proportions of their hands, the chosen material, everyday use and the meaning they wish to hold onto.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project originates from images selected by the couple in my gallery Creations and from the desire to personalise the wedding rings through a sign that was truly theirs. The decisive point was the use of a lip print left on paper, which was then chosen as a visual matrix to be transformed into a texture. The preliminary phase also took place via video call; subsequently, the prototypes made it possible to check proportions, heights and thicknesses prior to production.

Materials and finishes

For Bacio d’amore I followed 3D modelling, prototyping, lost-wax casting, hand engraving, polishing and quality control. The digitalisation of the fingerprint allowed me to study how to translate the mark into a continuous bas-relief, integrated into the band. Through the prototypes I checked with the couple the relationship between texture, thickness and comfort, so as to maintain both formal precision and ease of wear.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

If you would like wedding bands that hold a real and personal symbol, the design can originate from a direct discussion on gesture, form and meaning. In my studio in Altamura I personally oversee every step, from the initial sketch to the checking of the prototypes.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
