A family is not a static figure, but a constellation that changes while keeping its bonds recognisable. In this ring, two different-coloured weaves draw close without losing their identity, traversing voids and luminous points. Each diamond suggests a presence; each branch indicates a relationship that continues, diverges or reunites.
Family constellations belongs to my archive and documents the way in which a relationship can become a structure. Each new project is redesigned starting from the people involved, the bonds to be represented, the proportions of the hand, the metals and the intended use.
The inspiration stems from the union of two families, imagined as constellations made up of autonomous presences and shared bonds. Each line follows a distinct path, but finds points of intersection with the others; the two colours of gold make this plurality legible without dividing it. The diamonds become luminous points of reference within the network, like people who guide, support and keep the relationship alive.
I have crafted Family Constellations in 18-carat yellow and white gold with natural diamonds. 3D modelling and prototyping made it possible to check the interlacing, negative space and structural continuity prior to lost-wax casting. Bead setting integrates the diamonds at the chosen points, while polishing and quality control complete a ring designed to combine visual articulation, lightness and comfort.
