Biondi hair ring with bespoke artisan crafting

Blond hair

Gold threads and natural inclusions tell of a luminous, free and unpredictable presence

The creation

This yellow gold and rutilated quartz ring centres on a pear-shaped gemstone with a large and luminous presence. Hand-curved gold threads cross and follow its profile, creating an open structure that alternates between solid spaces, voids and overlaps. diamonds yellows introduce more concentrated points of light, while on the hand the design appears bold yet airy, with a movement that can be read from any angle.

Let's transform a personal trait into a form to be treasured

Blond hair shows how a personal trait can become the beginning of a new narrative arc, built around the person and their story.

The initial meeting serves to understand the meaning to be represented and to identify gems, proportions and consistent construction solutions.

Narrative jewel

In blonde hair, the light does not stay still: it passes through the strands, changes direction and reveals unexpected nuances. Rutilated quartz holds a similar movement within its internal patterns, formed by natural markings that do not follow a pre-established order. Around the gemstone, the gold threads continue its rhythm and the yellow diamonds gather its reflections.

Blonde Hair belongs to my archive of created works and stems from a personal association between gemstone, material and identity. A new narrative ring is redesigned starting from the person, the meaning to be treasured, the proportions of the hand, the materials and the intended use.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from the desire to celebrate a blonde-haired woman through a material capable of evoking her light and character. The internal patterns of rutilated quartz, never entirely predictable, became the reference point for constructing free and overlapping gold lines.

For her birthday, the customer thus chose to transform a recognisable feature of his wife into a form to carry with him.

Materials and finishes

I made Biondi in 18-carat yellow gold, with a natural cabochon drop-cut rutilated quartz and natural yellow diamonds. The structure was built entirely by hand, starting from drawn gold wire, curved and shaped one by one around the gemstone.

Prong setting, polishing and quality control have completed a piece where every line contributes to stability, balance and wearability.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

A feature, a memory or a gemstone can become the origin of a new story. In my atelier in Altamura we can translate that meaning into matter, proportions and gestures built around the person.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
