A ring chosen during a trip may seem like a small keepsake, until time invests it with a deeper value. In “I sogni son desideri”, the engraved name stays close to the hand, the heart accompanies the movement, and the three points of light hold the presence of shared days. The new material does not erase the origin of the memory: it protects it, gives it structure and allows that memory to continue to be worn with discretion.
I sogni son desideri belongs to my archive of completed works and stems from a memory that belongs exclusively to the client. It is not a design to be replicated: every new project is redesigned starting from the entrusted story, the person's proportions, the materials, the intended use and the desired level of privacy.
In my workshop in Altamura I personally oversee every step, to ensure the piece of jewel retains its meaning without turning it into a standard formula.
The project stems from a ring bought by the client with her son during a trip to Disneyland, which over time became the tangible symbol of days spent together. Following its loss, the mother entrusted me with that reference, asking me to preserve its recognisable features in a new creation.
I worked to ensure that the name, pendants and inscription maintained their connection with the memory, transforming them through more mindful proportions, materials and construction solutions.
I developed the structure through 3D modelling and prototyping, verifying the relationship between the band, engravings and suspended elements before final production. After lost-wax casting in 18-carat white gold, the natural diamonds were set using flush setting.
Polishing defines the surfaces and accompanies the movement of the pendants, while quality control checks the joints, finishes and overall stability.
Every review reflects a real commission: the initial consultation, the listening process, the definition of the project, the anticipation and the moment the finished piece becomes part of the client’s life.
