The custom white gold pendant with diamond Typefaces develops a vertical composition made of modules, letters, numbers and raised characters. The different sizes disrupt a regular grid and build a dense yet legible visual rhythm. The diamond occupies the lower area and introduces a luminous centre distinct from the surrounding graphic language. On the body, the pendant maintains a strong presence without losing proportion.

The initial meeting serves to clarify references, proportions, materials and feasibility, without requiring an immediate decision.
Caratteri tipografici belongs to my archive of completed creations and documents a solution born for a specific person. Every new piece of jewellery is redesigned according to interests, proportions, materials, use and wearability. In my workshop in Altamura I personally oversee this process, so that each time a cultural or visual reference finds an autonomous translation, consistent with the person who will wear it.
The project stems from the client's passion for typography and antique printing systems. I chose not to turn this interest into a literal quotation, but to work on the visual character of the signs: different type sizes, overlaps, irregular spaces and scale relationships. The composition thus recalls the energy of a page built with typographical elements, whilst maintaining its own goldsmith identity.
I developed the structure through 3D modelling, so as to control depth, the relationships between the modules and the position of the various reliefs. Lost-wax casting transferred the composition into 18-carat white gold. I set the diamond with a knife-edge setting, then oversaw polishing and quality control. The final focus is on the legibility of the marks, the continuity of the edges and the rendering of light.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
If you would like to start from an interest, a graphic mark or a cultural reference, I can guide you through the development of a new piece of jewellery designed around your idea.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
