Orchid

The creation

The white gold orchid pendant with diamonds develop a three-dimensional flower with soft surfaces and open petals. Subtle radial markings accompany the volume and make the movement of the material more legible, while diamonds introduce luminous accents without dominating the composition. On the body, the flower maintains a defined yet balanced presence, with a structure that enhances solids, curvatures, and differences in light.

Giving shape to what represents you

A botanical passion can become the reference point for a new piece of jewellery built around the person who will wear it.

The first meeting is intended to clarify the direction, timetable and feasibility. It does not require an immediate decision.

Personalised jewellery

Orchidea belongs to my archive and documents a solution born from the sensitivity and preferences of a specific client. Every new piece is redesigned according to the person, proportions, materials, use and wearability. In my atelier in Altamura, I follow this process directly, so that even a natural reference finds a different and coherent language every time.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The client has a passion for rare flowers and, in particular, orchids and exotic plants. The desire was to bring this personal inclination into a recognisable piece of jewellery, without turning the flower into a simple decoration. I therefore worked on observing its structure, seeking a synthesis capable of preserving naturalness, movement and character through a form crafted expressly for her.

Materials and finishes

I built Orchidea in 18-carat white gold by hand-modelling sheet metal and wire, so as to directly control the opening of the petals and the joints between the parts. The burin engraving accompanies the surfaces with a subtle texture that follows their contour. I set the diamonds using prong setting at the points laid down in the design, then I took care of polishing and quality control, checking proportions, finishes and structural continuity.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.
