This creation belongs to the archive of works produced in my workshop in Altamura. It is not a template to be replicated in series: it can become a reference to start a new project, but each ring is redesigned for the individual, their hand proportions, the available stones, its intended use, and the meaning to be cherished. The value comes from the process, not from the repetition of a previously seen form.
The inspiration comes from the stated idea of two rings that seem separate and then merge into one. I worked on this image as if it were a meeting: two different cuts, two different lights, a single final structure. The American couple connected to this creation then also chose to live The Goldsmith for a Day Experience, a sign of a relationship with jewellery that is not just visual, but participatory and close to the gesture of the workshop.
The ring was made from 18-carat yellow gold with pear-cut and square-cut natural diamonds. I followed the 3D design to check volumes, heights and the position of the settings, then lost-wax casting transformed the drawing into matter. The claw setting requires attention on the grip point, because security stones must coexist with the visual lightness of the design.
