The creation

Hidden Signs is a two-tone engagement ring with diamond, crafted in 18-carat white and rose gold. The composition draws attention to the centre, where the diamond is embraced by a regular and compact structure, while the shank maintains a clean line. The contrast between the two gold colours defines the setting and visually separates the symbolic part from the more understated continuity of the ring.

When a personal detail changes the project

A reference can only ever become the starting point: the true project is born when form and details are redesigned around the person.

Following the project directly, I can evaluate together with you which elements deserve to be shown and which, instead, must remain confidential.

Personalised jewellery

Segni Nascosti belongs to my archive of completed works and documents how a specific request can be transformed into an autonomous solution. It is not a shape to be repeated. In my workshop in Altamura, every new project is redesigned considering hand, proportions, materials, intended use and personal details, so that even an initial reference leads to a piece of jewellery with its own constructive and visual logic.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The starting point also involved a distance to be established: the client did not recognise themselves in the irregular arrangement of the settings seen in a commercial reference. They asked for a solution that was more symmetrical, balanced and technically controlled. Inside this new structure, the initials of their loved one were concealed, keeping them hidden within the setting and transforming a private detail into a real part of the construction.

Materials and finishes

I developed Segni Nascosti in 18-carat white and rose gold with a natural diamond. 3D modelling and prototyping made it possible to verify the relationship between the setting, shank and proportions before final production. The process continued with lost-wax casting, flush setting, polishing and quality control, with a particular focus on structural regularity and durability over time.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

If you have a reference that you are not entirely convinced by, I can start right from what you would like to change to create a ring that is consistent with your idea and the person it is intended for.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
