Men's Amor Roma ruby engagement ring in rose gold

Amor Roma

Rome becomes a memory to wear, gathered around the deep red of a ruby

The creation

This men's engagement ring with Ruby Focus the composition on an oval gemstone set in rose gold. The upper volume is bold and compact, while lettering, engravings and blackened areas articulate the surfaces, creating depth and contrast. The shank maintains a substantial presence on the hand and draws the eye towards the centre, where colour, material and mark find a sharp balance.

Let us shape a promise that speaks of your story

Amor Roma shows how a decisive place for a couple can become the origin of a new engagement narrative ring.

The initial meeting serves to understand the promise, the elements to be represented and the design solutions that are consistent with the person who will wear the ring.

Narrative jewel

There are cities that stay in the memory because they coincide with the beginning of something. In Amor Roma, the name of the place and the word AMOR meet on the same surface like in a mirror, two readings of a story that starts from Rome and returns to love. At the centre, the ruby gathers the colour and the gaze; all around, marks and contrasts engrave the material. The ring thus becomes the memory of an origin and a promise of what continues.

Amor Roma belongs to my archive of created works and holds a specific relationship and place. A new narrative engagement ring is redesigned around the couple, the story to be represented, the hand, the proportions, the materials and the intended use.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from the client's desire to celebrate a love story that began in Rome through an engagement ring intended for a man. The name of the city was incorporated directly into the design alongside the word AMOR, creating a visual connection between place and feeling. The ruby was chosen as the chromatic centre of the composition, while the rest of the structure was developed to give it character and presence.

Materials and finishes

I developed Amor Roma in 18-carat rose gold with a natural oval ruby. 3D modelling and prototyping allowed us to control volumes, thicknesses, lettering and proportions prior to lost-wax casting. The flush setting integrates the gemstone into the central part, while polishing and burnishing visually separate the reliefs and engraved backgrounds. Quality control concludes a construction designed for precision and real-world wear.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

A place, a word or the moment it all began can become the starting point for a new engagement ring. In my atelier in Altamura, we can translate that meaning into personal material and proportions.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
