18-carat white gold diamond solitaire earrings, front view

Light points

An etched silk-effect surface amplifies the light of the diamond with an essential and measured line

The creation

The solitaire earrings with diamonds they place the stone in the centre and surround it with a circular burin-engraved silk-effect surface. The radial mark of the craftsmanship visually expands the light without weighing down the design. On the lobe, the presence remains compact and neat: the diamond emerges with clarity, while the 18-carat white gold builds a discreet frame that makes the overall piece essential, luminous and well-proportioned.

Transform a core idea into a personal project

Even a minimal shape can become personal when proportions, material and craftsmanship are designed around the wearer.

The initial meeting serves to define the direction, proportions, materials and feasibility before developing the proposal.

Personalised jewellery

Punti luce belongs to my archive of already realised creations and documents a precise solution between formal simplicity and surface work. It is not a shape to be copied. Each new project is redesigned considering the person, the way of wearing it, the proportions, the materials and the desired character, so that even an essential type can find a new and coherent balance with the person who chooses it.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from a precise desire: to choose for oneself a very simple piece of jewellery, yet one capable of standing out through a technical detail. From this brief, I developed a pair of stud earrings in which the circular shape remains purposely understated. The defining element is not the addition of ornamentation, but the way in which the engraved surface accompanies the diamond and transforms an essential style into a personal signature.

Materials and finishes

I developed the shape using 3D modelling and prototyping, allowing me to check the diameter, thickness and ratio between the setting and the outer surface prior to lost-wax casting. The diamonds are set using claw setting. On the domes, the silk-effect burin engraving creates a radial texture that modulates the reflections. Polishing and quality control complete the work in my workshop in Altamura and ensure the overall consistency of the pair.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

From a simple shape or a technical detail I can develop earrings reimagined in their proportions, surfaces and presence on the lobe.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
