Custom 18-carat rose gold wedding rings, Twist builds its presence through a continuous band with angled and variable surfaces. The profile remains essential, while the metal seems to change direction along the circumference, generating shifts of light and a sense of movement. On the hand, the design maintains compactness and continuity, entrusting its character to the proportions and the visual rotation of the surface.

The initial consultation serves to define shape, proportions, material and wearability; the preliminary design can also be followed remotely.
Twist belongs to my archive of completed creations and shows how a formal reference can be transformed through proportions and design. Each new pair of wedding rings is redesigned for the individuals, their hands, the material, everyday wear and the desired character. This structure may suggest a direction, but the flow, thicknesses and relationships between the surfaces must find a new balance every time.
The project started from some images found online by the couple, which were used to focus on the type of presence desired. I didn't transfer that reference directly into the ring: the work focused on finding a new balance between width, height, thickness and surface variation. Through discussion, I developed a recognisable band, consistent with the couple's hands and the character chosen for their wedding rings.
For Twist I worked in 18-carat rose gold through 3D modelling, prototyping, lost-wax casting, polishing and quality control. The prototypes allowed the couple to try on the rings and evaluate sizes, heights, thicknesses and the contour of the band before final production. I also followed the preliminary phase remotely via video call, before welcoming the couple to my atelier in Altamura.
Discover what it means to create your wedding rings together
Come into the workshop and discover a different way of experiencing the creation of your wedding rings.
You will be involved in the most significant phases of the process, accompanied step by step throughout the experience.
At the end of the day, you will take away not only the wedding rings, but also the memory of having made them together with your own hands.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
If you are interested in an essential band far removed from uniform geometry, we can work on the flow, proportions and surfaces until we create a solution tailored for you.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
