Rose gold wedding rings bearing the couple's fingerprints on the surface

The creation

Impronta is a pair of fingerprint wedding rings crafted in 18-carat rose gold. The band alternates quieter surfaces with the irregular and recognizable texture of the fingerprints, which accompanies the metal without turning into mere decoration. The design maintains a compact and continuous structure, while the contrast between solids, marks and smooth areas makes the personalization legible even in the normal presence of the rings on the hand.

Give form to a sign that belongs to your faiths

Impronta shows how a truly personal mark can become part of the design of new rings, along with proportions, material and how they are worn.

The initial consultation helps to understand which signs, proportions, and material choices can become an authentic part of your wedding rings.

Bespoke wedding rings

Impronta belongs to my archive and documents a journey built around two specific people. Each new couple starts afresh from hands, proportions, metal, surfaces and the elements that you wish to make personal. Even when the starting point is a fingerprint, the new project is redesigned in my workshop in Altamura so that the mark finds a coherent relationship with shape, comfort and everyday use.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The couple started from images chosen in my archive of wedding rings to look for a personal structure and a sign capable of truly belonging to them. From here the idea of the fingerprint was born: not that of the person who makes the jewellery, but that of two people who are building a new family unit and a shared life project. The digitised fingerprints thus became part of the surface of the rings, not an addition separate from their design.

Materials and finishes

I designed these 18-carat rose gold wedding rings through 3D modelling and prototyping, allowing the couple to check the proportions, heights and overall thicknesses before production. The fingerprints were captured and integrated into the design, then transferred to the metal through lost-wax casting during the Goldsmith workshop for a day. The processing concluded with polishing and quality control, maintaining the legibility of the relationship between surface, mark and structure.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Discover what it means to create your wedding rings together

Come into the workshop and discover a different way of experiencing the creation of your wedding rings.

You will be involved in the most significant phases of the process, accompanied step by step throughout the experience.

At the end of the day, you will take away not only the wedding rings, but also the memory of having made them together with your own hands.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

We can start with a footprint, a surface, a reference from my archive or an idea of yours and turn it into a new project, checking proportions and wearability together before making it.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
