Skull wedding rings are custom-made 18-carat white gold wedding bands, built upon a simple band interrupted by sculptural skull elements. The composition alternates continuous surfaces, reliefs and small flush-set details, creating a contrast between a sober structure and a bold figurative mark. On the hand, the presence remains compact: the motif emerges as an identitary point without occupying the entire circumference.

The initial consultation serves to define symbols, proportions, materials and feasibility; it can also begin remotely and continue in the studio when necessary.
Wedding Skulls belongs to my archive of completed creations and documents a way of transforming a personal request into a form, not a template to be repeated. Each new pair of wedding bands is redesigned from scratch, taking into account the individuals, proportions, material, daily wear, meaning, and consistency of the technical details. A reference can open up a design direction, but the outcome always stems from a dialogue with the person who will wear them.
The project stems from a specific request from the couple: to feature skulls on the wedding rings, a subject already present in their tattoos and chosen for its symbolic value. In the design of the two rings, the skulls evoke two individualities choosing to journey through time and life's changes together. I translated this bold motif into a form to be worn every day, seeking a balance between meaning, proportions, and presence on the hand.
For these wedding rings I combined 3D modelling, prototyping, lost-wax casting, micro-prong setting, polishing and quality control. The preliminary consultation took place remotely with the couple in Berlin: the prototypes made it possible to check sizes, heights, thicknesses, proportions and the relationship between the band and the relief work before final production. I personally oversaw the entire process up to collection at my studio in Altamura.
Discover what it means to create your wedding rings together
Come into the workshop and discover a different way of experiencing the creation of your wedding rings.
You will be involved in the most significant phases of the process, accompanied step by step throughout the experience.
At the end of the day, you will take away not only the wedding rings, but also the memory of having made them together with your own hands.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
If you would like wedding rings born from a personal design, we can start with your imagination and evaluate together their shape, proportions, materials and feasibility.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
