There are encounters that seem to happen because something, even before words, has pointed the way. In Vento d’amore this invisible force takes the shape of lines that rotate around the cameo and accompany the engraved face. The flowing hair suggests the moment when the wind leads two people towards each other.
Vento d'amore belongs to my archive of completed creations and holds a specific story. A new narrative ring is redesigned starting from the face, the memory, the symbol or the bond that the person wishes to entrust to me, as well as from the proportions of the hand, the material and the intended use.
The inspiration stems from the story of a meeting made possible by the wind, understood as an invisible presence capable of guiding the heart. The face of the beloved has been sculpted onto the cameo with hair blowing in the breeze, as if a current were leading her towards the one who awaits her. On the occasion of their wedding anniversary, this image became the centre of the project: a private memory translated into portraiture, movement and matter.
I developed Vento d’amore in 18-carat yellow gold around a natural cameo. 3D modelling and prototyping made it possible to control the width of the setting, the height of the portrait and the relationship between curves, apertures and the shank prior to lost-wax casting. The preliminary fitting helped to verify the presence on the hand, whilst polishing and quality control completed the continuity, comfort and surface definition.
