Nativity

Custom 18-carat white and rose gold trilogy ring, built around symmetry, light and proportions

The creation

Natività is a custom-made trilogy ring with diamonds, designed to achieve a symmetrical, legible and stable composition on the hand. The three natural diamonds create an orderly central rhythm, while the white gold of the shank and the rose gold of the upper structure distinguish support and light. The proportions were verified on the finger prior to production, in order to calibrate heights, thicknesses and visual presence without making the overall piece heavy.

Let's shape your bespoke ring

This creation can inspire a new bespoke ring, reimagined through personal proportions, materials and a structure in keeping with the wearer.

The initial meeting serves to understand the desire, verify feasibility, and identify a personal design direction.

Personalised jewellery

Nativity belongs to the archive of creations made in my workshop in Altamura and documents a design method shared with the client. It is not a shape to be repeated: a new ring is redesigned taking into account the person, the size, the proportions of the hand, the materials, the intended use, and the meaning entrusted to the jewel. The archive offers a concrete reference, while each journey leads to an independent and coherent solution.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from discussions with a client who had chosen classic images of trilogy rings, linking them to the idea of a trio with a new arrival and the continuity between past, present and future. The request was not to repeat solutions that had already been seen, but to achieve a more symmetrical and coherent arrangement. From this dialogue, I developed a formal balance capable of bringing order to the three diamonds and a precise identity to the two-tone setting.

Materials and finishes

I developed Natività through 3D modelling and prototyping, steps that allowed the client to try on the ring and assess proportions, heights and thicknesses prior to final production. The 18-carat white and rose gold structure was crafted using a double lost-wax casting technique; I then oversaw the hammer setting, polishing and quality control, linking every technical choice to stability, comfort and durability.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.

Do you want to start from a creation like this?

A bespoke piece of jewellery can stem from an aesthetic preference, a technical idea or the desire to find the right balance between materials and proportions. During our initial meeting, I will evaluate the feasibility, style and characteristics of the design with you in order to build a coherent and personal solution.

The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
