An 18-carat white gold confetti-shaped pendant, personalised with the fingerprints of the godfather and godmother

The creation

The Confetto white gold personalised pendant has a soft, oval and slightly rounded shape. The surface captures the fingerprints of the godfather and godmother, transforming the metal into a tangible trace of their presence. The continuous edge keeps the profile neat and guides the light along its volume. When worn, the piece of jewellery remains subtle yet recognizable, with a surface whose appearance changes depending on the angle.

Transforming an authentic track into a subject

Even an authentic footprint can become matter and give an essential shape a profoundly personal character.

The initial meeting serves to clarify references, proportions and feasibility, without requiring an immediate decision.

Personalised jewellery

Confetto belongs to my archive and documents a project born from precise personal references. Each new piece of jewellery is redesigned in relation to the person, the materials, the wear and the elements one wishes to preserve. In my atelier in Altamura, I oversee this process directly, ensuring that even a personal trace finds its own coherent solution without automatically replicating what has already been made.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from the idea of a sugared almond transformed into a pendant and made personal through the fingerprints of the godfather and godmother. I worked to ensure these real marks became part of the surface without losing the simplicity of the form. The result relates an essential volume with an authentic human presence: not an added decorative motif, but a trace directly connected to the people chosen by the client.

Materials and finishes

I developed Confetto through 3D modelling and prototyping to control the profile, doming and thicknesses prior to production in 18-carat white gold. Lost-wax casting defined the overall volume. I then oversaw the finishing, polishing and quality control, paying particular attention to surface legibility and edge continuity. The prototype made it possible to check the proportions and presence before final production.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.
