Custom rose gold pendant featuring a stylised little girl with a mum and pram

Bambolina

A family mark transformed into a figurative pendant, retaining the spontaneity of the original drawing

The creation

The personalised rose gold Bambolina pendant stems from a simple and immediate figurative composition: an adult figure next to a pram with a baby girl. The design maintains an essential language, translated into the metal through outlines, engravings and small reliefs. The construction makes the two subjects legible and, once worn, retains a light and recognisable presence, naturally accompanied by the movement of the chain.

A personal mark can become matter

Even a personal sketch can become the starting point for a new piece of jewellery, built around the person who will wear it.

The initial meeting serves to understand the reference, clarify the design direction and evaluate its feasibility.

Personalised jewellery

Bambolina belongs to my archive of created works and documents a way of transforming a personal reference into matter. Each new project is redesigned around the person, the proportions, the materials, the use and the meaning it must hold. In my atelier in Altamura, I oversee this step directly, so that the result is born from an authentic relationship between idea, form and wearability.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The origin of the project is a drawing made by the client's eldest daughter, which features the mother and the new baby sister, affectionately called “the little doll” by the family. The desire was to preserve that infantile mark without correcting its graphic language. I therefore maintained the spontaneous character of the reference, working to ensure its simplicity and the relationship between the figures remained recognisable in the transition from paper to gold.

Materials and finishes

I worked 18-carat rose gold through manual metal modelling and burin engraving, carefully following the contours and small marks that define the characters. Polishing completed the surfaces without erasing the legibility of the design, while quality control checked the finishes and structural continuity.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.
