Heart of love belongs to my archive of completed creations and bears witness to a solution born from a specific request. Each new piece of jewellery is redesigned taking into account the person, proportions, materials, usage, wearability and meaning. In my atelier in Altamura, I personally oversee the transition from the initial reference to the construction, so that each project develops its own identity without repeating a previously executed form.
The client wanted to start from the image of an upside-down heart and arabesque decorative suggestions. In the meaning attributed to the project, that shape recalled a receptive vessel and the divine feminine. I therefore worked on curved lines, openings and ornamental motifs, avoiding a literal interpretation: the initial idea becomes an articulated structure, in which the symbol remains recognisable but engages with a broader design.
I developed the creation through 3D modelling and prototyping, checking proportions, heights and thicknesses prior to crafting in 18-carat rose gold. Following lost-wax casting, I proceeded with the assembly and manual shaping of the metal, and then hand-engraving with a burin. Polishing and quality control completed the work, with attention to the continuity of the curves, the definition of the reliefs and the precision of the surfaces.
Every review reflects a real commission: the initial consultation, the listening process, the definition of the project, the anticipation and the moment the finished piece becomes part of the client’s life.
