Custom fingerprint earrings turn a real trace into a wearable surface. The circular, slightly domed shape gathers the engraved fingerprint design and lets the mark itself build the visual identity of the couple. 18-carat rose gold softens the presence on the lobe, while the engraved lines create subtle variations of light. The result is compact, essential and legible even at close range.

The initial meeting serves to understand the meaning of the track, evaluate its output and define a coherent design direction.
Impronta belongs to my archive of already realised creations and documents a precise encounter between memory, gesture and metalwork. Each new project is redesigned starting from the person, the trace to be preserved, the proportions, the material and the way it is worn. The value lies not in repeating these earrings, but in finding a self-contained solution capable of giving form to a personal memory.
The project stems from a very personal request: to preserve a great-grandmother's fingerprint as a keepsake to carry with you. She had asked her great-granddaughter herself which trace she wished to keep through time; the answer was her fingerprint. I turned that cast into a pair of earrings, keeping the gesture at the centre of the project. Memory is not entrusted to a generic symbol, but to a mark that truly belonged to the person being remembered.
I made the earrings starting from the manual working of the sheet metal, then I transferred the design of the footprint onto the surface by engraving. The curvature of the volume allows the lines to follow a continuous shape and react to light without losing legibility. The polishing defines the edges and accompanies the contrast with the engraved stroke. In my workshop in Altamura I personally oversee the final inspection of the pair.
Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.
From an imprint, a sign or a concrete memory, I can develop a piece of jewellery redesigned in its shapes and proportions for the person who will wear it.
The initial meeting is to clarify desires, materials, structure, timelines, and feasibility. It doesn't require an immediate decision.
