Personalised white gold cufflinks with veterinary logo and initials

Veterinary Surgeon

A pair of cufflinks built around the wearer's profession and initials

The creation

The custom white gold cufflinks by Dottor veterinario feature a compact oval shape, punctuated by symbols and initials. The polished edge defines the profile, while the more subtle background highlights the central elements without weighing down the composition. Worn on the cuff, they maintain a measured presence, suitable for a professional and formal context.

Design a sign that represents you

A professional symbol can become the starting point for new cufflinks designed around the individual.

The initial discussion is used to evaluate the idea, proportions, materials and feasibility before defining the project.

Personalised jewellery

Veterinary Doctor belongs to my portfolio of completed works and documents a solution created for a specific person. For new cufflinks I start from the profession, the initials, genuinely significant symbols, proportions and the intended use. Each project is redesigned so that the result maintains an authentic relationship with the person who will wear them.

From inspiration to design

Inspiration

The project stems from a grandfather's desire to celebrate his grandson's graduation and doctorate with something capable of accompanying him through time. The starting point was the language of his profession: the veterinary specialisation logo and his initials. I worked on these elements to transform them into a legible, orderly composition suited to the small scale of the cufflinks.

Materials and finishes

I developed the 18-carat white gold cufflins through 3D modelling and prototyping, in order to check the proportions, legibility of the markings and the relationship between the parts prior to lost-wax casting. The final polishing defines the edges and enhances the reading of the surface. In my workshop in Altamura, I also directly oversee quality control, checking the balance and overall appearance of the pair.

Certifications and registrations

Technical expertise, professional registrations and qualifications have accompanied the development of my work in the goldsmithing and jewellery field.

Awards and recognition

Since 2009, I have guided private clients and couples through the creation of their jewellery in my atelier. Over thirty years of goldsmithing experience guide every stage: listening, design, workshop, quality control, and delivery. Awards, mentions, and accolades tell the story of the artisanal, technical, and creative journey that underpins my work. Each badge links to an in-depth article on the blog.

How is a piece of jewellery born?

A piece of jewellery can be inspired by a specific request or by a story worth cherishing. It is Custom when it starts with a shape, a stone, a material or a style to be crafted to measure. It becomes narrative When transforming a memory, symbol or personal passage into substance, proportion and meaning. Wedding rings, rings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets can follow both paths. In the Jewellery section, you can discover which one best suits your idea.
