Countdown Italian Wedding Awards 2019: Antonio Colonna finalist

There are only five days left until the national final of the Italian Wedding Awards and I am among the finalists in the jewellery category. It is a prestigious award, created to reward excellence and professionalism among Italian wedding suppliers.

For me, reaching the final means bringing a precise vision to the national stage: the wedding jewellery shouldn't just be bought, but conceived, designed and lived as part of the couple's story.

Who will be the winner of the Jewellery category?

The final of the Italian Wedding Awards is a true Oscar night dedicated to elegance, taste and the world of Italian weddings. Professionals from all over Italy gather to represent the various wedding categories.

The national and international jury will reward companies capable of offering excellent services, attention to detail and an experience that meets their customers' expectations.

Following previous editions held in Rome, Florence and Venice, this edition is preparing to arrive in Turin, set in prestigious surroundings: the Reggia di Venaria Reale.

The wedding jewellery between old and new methods

For the Jewellery category, this final also represents for me a comparison between two very different ways of understanding wedding jewellery.

The most traditional method is that of buying mass-produced jewellery from a multi-brand jeweller: the customer chooses from models that are already available, often standardised, guided by the brand's taste or the proposed selection.

The method I use in my laboratory is different. It starts with the story of the individual or the couple and makes it possible to give birth to exclusive jewellery, capable of recounting real emotions, memories and desires.

From this vision, my Jewellery Experience is born: a way of experiencing jewellery as a journey, not just a simple purchase.

Jewellery Experience and Apulian Style

I am proud to be able to represent this project at the national final of the Italian Wedding Awards 2019, carrying with me creativity, tradition, innovation and a part of the Apulian identity linked to weddings.

My work originates in Altamura, but looks to couples seeking something more personal: wedding bands, engagement rings and narrative jewellery capable of holding a true story.

Experiences like Goldsmiths for a Day, i Narrative Jewellery and the Bespoke wedding rings they stem precisely from this idea: transforming the choice of the piece of jewellery into an authentic, shared and memorable moment.

Good luck to all the contestants. Whatever the result, being among the finalists already means having given visibility to a different way of understanding wedding jewellery: more personal, more artisanal, closer to people's lives.
