The presence of my profile on Homo Faber<\/strong> it represents for me an important step within a journey built over time: a journey born from the goldsmith's art, grown through bench work and oriented towards the creation of bespoke jewellery<\/a> able to hold real stories.<\/p>\n

Homo Faber presents my work as that of a jewellery maker<\/strong> and master goldsmith in Altamura, highlighting a central aspect of my research: the creation of narrative jewellery<\/a>, designed to tell personal stories through matter, form, stones, technique and memory.<\/p>\n

For those who choose a significant piece of jewellery, this presence should not be read as a mere external reference. It tells of a way of understanding the craft: not anonymous production, nor standardised jewellery, but a direct relationship with the client, technical expertise and artisanal responsibility.<\/p>\n

Homo Faber is born instead within a more precise culture: that of the arts and crafts, workshops, master artisans and the skills that make know-how a form of living heritage.<\/p>\n

Being present in this context means placing my work within a broader vision of Italian craftsmanship: a vision in which the piece of jewellery is not merely a precious object, but the result of knowledge, a method and a relationship between person, material and memory.<\/p>\n

The core of my work is Narrative Jewellery<\/strong>. With this expression I mean a creation that does not stem from a ready-made model, but from a personal story to be cherished.<\/p>\n

A promise, a birth, an anniversary, a family memory, a journey, a passion or an important milestone in life can become precious material. My task is to listen to what the client wishes to preserve and transform it into a clear, harmonious and technically correct project.<\/p>\n

In this sense, the narrative jewel is not merely personalised. It is built around a meaning. The shape, the metal, the stone, the finish, the engraving and the proportions are not chosen at random, but become part of a story to be worn.<\/p>\n

From story to matter<\/h2>\n

Every project begins with listening. Even before designing, modelling or choosing a stone, it is necessary to understand what value the piece of jewellery is to hold. Some clients arrive with a precise idea, others with a memory, and still others with an emotion that is difficult to translate into form.<\/p>\n

My job is to bring order to all of this. I turn the narrative into a design direction, assess technical possibilities, study proportions, consider comfort, choose cohesive materials and guide the client right through to the definition of the final piece of jewellery.<\/p>\n

The result must not only be beautiful. It must be readable, solid, wearable and consistent with the person who will wear it.<\/p>\n

Goldsmith tradition and contemporary digital tools<\/h2>\n

One of the most important aspects of my journey is the dialogue between tradition and innovation. My training stems from direct experience in the world of goldsmithing, the study of traditional techniques and working alongside master craftspeople.<\/p>\n

At the same time, my workshop uses advanced digital tools to design, verify and make the creative process more precise. 3D modelling, prototyping, the study of proportions and project visualisation allow the client to better understand the direction before final production.<\/p>\n

Technology, however, does not replace the craft. The artisan\u2019s hand remains decisive in the manufacturing, setting, engraving, finishing and final inspection. Digital tools help to imagine and verify; the goldsmith's art transforms the idea into matter.<\/p>\n

Casting, setting, graver and chasing<\/h2>\n

The Homo Faber profile dedicated to my work mentions several fundamental techniques of my journey: casting, setting, burin engraving and chasing. They are different languages, but they all belong to the same vision of jewellery as an object crafted with care.<\/p>\n

Casting makes it possible to transform a model into precious metal. Setting gives stones position, security and light. The graver allows for precise engraving, defining and decorating. Chiselling introduces a plastic and manual dimension, linked to the surface and the material.<\/p>\n

These techniques are not simple procedural steps. They are storytelling tools. Each process can help make the piece of jewellery more personal, more coherent and closer to the story it is meant to hold.<\/p>\n

The Jewelry Experience as a shared journey<\/h2>\n

During my work, I often talk about Jewellery Experience<\/strong> because a bespoke piece of jewellery is not created in a single moment. It is born through a shared journey between the client and the master jeweller.<\/p>\n

The client brings a story, a desire or a memory. I translate these elements into a project, explaining possibilities, limits, timeframes, materials and technical choices. Every stage has a function: listening, design, verification, manufacturing, inspection and delivery.<\/p>\n

This method allows the customer to experience the creation of the piece of jewellery with greater awareness. It is not merely a case of purchasing a precious item, but of taking part in the creation of something that will hold its value over time.<\/p>\n

My workshop was founded in Altamura, in Puglia, in a region where craftsmanship still retains a tangible relationship with time, matter and the responsibility of making.<\/p>\n

The presence on Homo Faber brings this work into an international dimension, without erasing its roots. On the contrary, it reinforces the identity of the workshop: a place where the Italian goldsmith tradition meets contemporary design and deep personalisation.<\/p>\n

For me, this balance is essential. A piece of jewellery can converse with an international audience, but it must retain the sincerity of the artisan's gesture, the attention to detail and the direct relationship with the person who commissions it.<\/p>\n

My task is to find the equilibrium point: giving form to a meaning without making it didactic, crafting a personal piece of jewellery without losing harmony, creating something unique without sacrificing solidity and wearability.<\/p>\n

Craftsmanship 4.0 and the authenticity of the hand<\/h2>\n

In my way of working, innovation and craftsmanship are not in conflict. Technology makes it possible to reduce certain distances between idea and design, to better showcase the possibilities and to make a high level of customisation more accessible.<\/p>\n

Yet the authenticity of the piece of jewellery remains in the hand, the eye and the ability to make correct technical decisions. A digital tool can help with designing, but it cannot replace the experience needed to understand whether a proportion will work, whether a gemstone will be shown to its best advantage, whether a setting will be secure or whether a finish will be consistent with the history of the piece.<\/p>\n

This is the deepest meaning of my work: using contemporary times without losing the responsibility of the craft.<\/p>\n

Goldsmiths for a day: the gesture enters the trial<\/h2>\n

Alongside narrative jewellery and bespoke projects, my atelier is also where the experience is born Goldsmiths for a Day experience<\/a>, dedicated to couples who wish to take part personally in the creation of their own wedding rings.<\/p>\n

This is not a simple demonstration. It is a dedicated, guided and controlled time, in which the couple enter the workshop, encounter the material and take part in some symbolic moments of the crafting process.<\/p>\n

The personal touch enters the process, while the technical responsibility remains in my hands. In this way, the wedding rings are not simply custom-made bands, but the tangible memory of a shared experience.<\/p>\n
