One of the best-known legends recounts that Saint Valentine helped a poor young woman to get married by giving her the money needed for her dowry.<\/p>\n<p>Other accounts link Saint Valentine's Day to the medieval courtly tradition and the celebration of romantic love. Over time, this date has become increasingly associated with lovers, commitment, and the symbolic language of gift-giving.<\/p>\n<p>In the fifteenth century, the theme of love was already strongly linked to the recurring date. European literature also helped to reinforce this image, transforming Saint Valentine into a day dedicated to those who love and wish to declare it.<\/p>\n<h2>What to give for Valentine's Day<\/h2>\n<p>This brings us to the question that many people ask themselves every year: <strong>what to get for Valentine's Day?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are many possibilities: a dinner, a trip, a perfume, a piece of technology, a bunch of flowers, a piece of jewellery. But not all gifts carry the same symbolic weight.<\/p>\n<p>A present might be liked at the moment it is received. A gift, on the other hand, stays. Because it contains thought, attention, listening.
